About the Job

Instructional designers create instructional materials for traditional instructor-led classes, internet programs and web-based learning aids. They revamp courses for online presentation and analyze class outlines to make sure they meet institutional standards. They also keep abreast of the latest instructional methodologies and technologies and make recommendations for improvements.

Successful instructional designers should have a firm grasp of how people learn, and excellent web design, writing, communication and collaboration skills. Ideally, the perfect candidate should also have experience in managing projects and a working knowledge of basic graphic design.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and edit online learning material and content
• Assess learning needs
• Analyze existing instructional material
• Develop and design online material and assessment tools
• Oversee implementation of online learning programs
• Ensuring content matches established objectives.
• Reshaping content for changing needs.
• Structuring content and activities for optimizing learning.
• Creating and testing multimedia.
• Developing entire courses and curriculum.
• Creating student guides and training manuals.
