Foreign Homeroom Teachers

Duties and responsibilities are:Motivating and stimulating children’s learning abilitiesEncourage learning through experienceProvide support to the children’s learning environmentDevelop and produce visual aids and teaching resourcesAssist with the development of children’s personal, social and language abilitiesHelp develop the children’s basic skills, including speech and communicationEncourage children’s creative development through stories, songs, games, drawing and imaginative playObserving, assessing and recording each child’s progressEnsuring the health and safety of children and staff is maintained during all activitiesMaintain and schedule weekly and monthly activitiesParticipate in ongoing in service and education development opportunitiesAdvise and cooperate with the Head of Department, Head of Academics and Vice Principal and other teachers in the preparation and development of courses of study, teaching materials, teaching programmes, methods of teaching and lesson planning and assessmentRegister and monitor the attendance of students under one’s careNurture a culture where teachers view themselves essentially as facilitators of learning and reflective practitionersMake use of technology during the delivery of the lessons
